Good-Fish™ Announces New iPhone® App to Help Anglers Users can search database of posted "catches" to "SAN JOSE, Calif., July, 2010 - Anglers can share fishing tips, locate hot spots where lunkers are biting and post Web photos of their catches through a unique new iPhone application that is aimed at creating a global online fishing community. Started by two avid fishermen in Silicon Valley, Good-Fish.com combines both the iPhone app and Using an iPhone as both a camera and a GPS location, the application allows users to instantly add catches to their Good Fish profile. The site includes a Bite Map that pinpoints the GPS coordinates of each individual catch. Anglers can refine their search of the Good Fish database to target specific interests, and the searches can be refined to specify location, species and fishing style. "We set out to create a simple way to access basic knowledge from fellow anglers who have been landing fish," explains co-founder Frank Ramirez. A fisherman planning a trip can easily explore new destinations with a quick search on Good Fish that specifies the location and species of interest. The website will pull up a map showing all catches posted by fellow anglers and guides in your search area. Moreover, anglers and professional guides can create custom profiles including a bio to store their catches and reports.
